Case Study 01 · Condominium, Bangsar
A Well-Located Unit That Felt Like a Hotel Lobby
The Situation
A mid-sized condo purchased fully furnished from a show unit. The owner found it uncomfortable to live in — the layout and furniture choices prioritised visual impact over daily function.
What We Did
Complete Interior Design engagement. Reconfigured the living zone, replaced show-unit furniture with pieces scaled for the actual space, introduced warm textiles and softer lighting to shift the atmosphere from display to dwelling.
Outcome
Renovation completed in 7 weeks. Client described the new space as finally feeling like a home rather than a showroom. Total design fee: MYR 3,100. Renovation cost came in under initial estimate.

Case Study 02 · Semi-Detached Home, Subang Jaya
A Growing Family, a Space That Could Not Keep Up
The Situation
A four-person family with two young children whose ground floor had evolved incrementally — each addition made practical sense in isolation, but the cumulative result was cluttered and hard to clean.
What We Did
Discovery Session followed by a Complete Interior Design for the ground floor only. Consolidated storage, redesigned the kitchen-dining-living flow, and specified materials that stand up to children and daily activity without sacrificing warmth.
Outcome
Project completed across two renovation phases (by client preference). Design fee MYR 3,570 total. Family reported measurably less household stress within two months of moving back in.

Case Study 03 · Office Fit-Out, TTDI
A Creative Studio That Needed to Function as Well as It Looked
The Situation
A small creative agency taking on new premises in TTDI. They wanted a space that would impress clients without overwhelming the team who worked there every day.
What We Did
Complete Interior Design plus Build Phase Guidance. Designed around acoustic performance, flexible meeting configurations, and a material palette that photographed well while absorbing daily wear. Oversaw the full contractor engagement on behalf of the client.
Outcome
Fit-out completed in 11 weeks with zero major scope changes. Combined fee MYR 4,800. Client has since recommended Oru Space to two other businesses in the same building.
